• Defragging is like flossing...

  .. I feel that defragging is next to flossing in all things important in life.  
  
  I've been using PerfectDisk for a short time and do like the program operating under Vista Business. As a media journalist and photographer I can shoot literally thousands of photos per week, on varying assignments.  I defrag the drive nearly each day after the day's assignments.  The interface of PerfectDisk, quite exceeds competing products and is very fast in its execution.

• As advertised, the defrag time is much faster...

  I installed the upgrade and defragged the two partitions on my 120 G hard drive.  As advertised, the defrag time is much faster. Additionally, I really like the new interface. So far the upgrade looks like a real winner!
  
  I use my PC during the week and when I do a complete backup at the end of each week, it takes much less time to defrag the partitions on my primary drive and my backup drive as well. This has been especially helpful because I use "Casper" to clone my primary drive. Casper has a cloning feature that only copies what has changed from the drive being copied. This makes for a fast and accurate copy, but adds a lot of fragmentation to the copied drive. The new version of PerfectDisk takes care of that much more quickly than before. And it does the same with the primary drive partitions that have been changed by activities during the week, but have also benefited from StealthPatrol I'm sure.

  I just wanted to say Thank You.  I upgraded my license a few months back for two more years...and got my invite and license key to the new version about an hour ago.  I uninstalled Diskeeper and installed this version...inserted my key...read the help files...and went on my merry way.May I compliment Raxco...this version is Spectacular.  Very sleek looking and as always does a GREAT job. Excellent work Raxco...at this point...I will be a lifelong customer.

• Switched from Diskeeper to PerfectDisk...

  I've just switched over to PerfectDisk from Diskeeper Pro Premier a little over a week ago now. I was impressed with PerfectDisk 8, but PerfectDisk 2008 Pro is GREAT! Diskeeper is an OK product, but the screens are plentiful and complicated. I'm a developer and have a pretty good understanding of computers, but I still can't figure out all the Diskeeper options and settings. It seems like they overcomplicated the Diskeeper user interface. Someone should let them know that more often than not, simple is much better. PerfectDisk is a lot easier to use and more user-friendly than Diskeeper and PerfectDisk is quite simply a "Lean Green Running Machine"! I really like that the last analysis of the drive is there by default. The interface is bone simple and that's "Perfect"! I'm very glad I switched. Keep up the good work.

• Far exceeds my expectations…

  I have worked in the IT profession for many years and have had experience working with many different software tools and utilities that ran on both Windows and Novell NetWare platforms.

  More than often, the tools and utilities I would utilize would meet the needs of the task at hand.

  It is rare, though, that I find a tool that far exceeds my expectations. However, PerfectDisk is one software that did just that.

  This software has been problem-free since we installed it on our Windows and Exchange servers and has significantly decreased server maintenance time freeing up time for other tasks.

  I would recommend this product to anyone who wants to implement an effective and reliable disk defragmentation strategy to help maintain server disk systems and Exchange.

  Have you ever tried Corel "support. ”From our experience to date, it is working just great on WinXP x64 with a SATA drive and also WinXP x86 on IDE, SATA, SCSI and U320 SCSI Raid0 which covers most of the usual disk configurations. Goodness knows what you are going to do for 2009? Can PerfectDisk get any more perfected?

  As an old Diskeeper® user, I noticed that it did not defragment hard drives or consolidate free space as thoroughly as PerfectDisk does.

Then C/Net did a survey of various defrag programs and there were many people who expressed their loyalty to PerfectDisk. I tried the demo version and fell in love with it right away! I bought it just a while back, and it’s the best utility software purchase I’ve ever made…your product is fantastic and fast! Please accept my thanks and admiration for a wonderful product and compliment the developers for a great job! I plan to be a satisfied customer of yours for years to come.

• Freed up space in boot mode to defrag my swap file...

  I just wanted to let you know how GREAT your software is! I downloaded the evaluation version of PerfectDisk and Diskeeper in hopes of defragging my swap file. I ran Diskeeper in boot mode and it complained that there wasn't enough free space to defrag the swap file. Then I ran PerfectDisk in boot mode and it happily freed up space and defragged my swap file with no complaints. You won hands down! I immediately purchased PerfectDisk. Thanks for such an outstanding product.

  Although I already had one license of PerfectDisk, I'd decided to evaluate Diskeeper after receiving a message that it was available. Although their interface is much improved, not only is their product extremely overpriced, but I've found that performance improvements after using your product versus theirs dramatic. This is taking into account tests on three different workstations. Your product won hands-down and I will continue using your products in the future. Kudos to the team for doing such a wonderful job.

• Complete defragmentation with fewer runs....

  I have been using Diskeeper for a number of years, but have been unhappy with the performance or lack thereof. Complete defragmentation was never completed regardless of how many times it ran. PerfectDisk seems to do a much better job with fewer runs. We are very happy with PerfectDisk. Keep up the good work.

PerfectDisk Windows Home Server

• It just works. Install, setup, and run. Beautiful.

  I have 2.5 TB of data in my Windows Home Server. PerfectDisk 10 is installed on it and keeps it all tidy. The beauty of it is – it just works. Install and setup were a snap and since then it has just hummed along. No issues, no fuss. Add to that the bonus of having PerfectDisk 10 on all the machines connected to my Home Server. Same story there. Install, setup, and run. Beautiful.

• PerfectDisk 10 rocks. I can't imagine it being any better.

  PerfectDisk 10 rocks. I installed it onto my HP Mediasmart server, and have 4 GBs of server data being backed up and served out to my office and home.  PerfectDisk 10 does a deep defragmentation of all the drives on the Server.  One drive is a separated standalone backup drive. PerfectDisk 10 works behind the scenes and does it perfectly.  I have been using PerfectDisk 10 for the past 8 months.   I can't imagine it being any better.

  I really like the product, it truly has worked for me. The PerfectDisk 10 for Windows Home Server has been a great addition to keeping our home server running at peak performance. With 4TB of storage on our server, we started to notice slow down and jitter issues after a couple months of heavy use when streaming media from the server. The AutoPilot Scheduling was a snap to setup and the direct Add-In on the Home Server Console is easy to use and configure. I’d recommend this product to anyone with a Windows Home Server.

  Product is great, quick uneventful installation, works great, nothing really required from the user to keep the system running efficiently. I researched several options before I went to PerfectDisk 10. The reviews were right on. I am very pleased with your product.

• I can use PerfectDisk on up to 10 PC’s included in the Home Server Site license

  Two things really stick out big time in my opinion.  First, PerfectDisk is truly “set it and forget it” defrag.  I set it up once with no problems and every time I look at my Home Server Console the defragmentation is always less than one half of one percent.  And I can definitely see an increase in speed between the server and my home computers compared to before.  The other feature I like—maybe best of all-- I didn’t even know I was getting—being able to use PerfectDisk Pro version on up to 10 PC’s included with the Home Server version site license.  It’s pretty easy to do the math that one— I saved almost a hundred bucks and I only own three PC’s in addition to my server.

  Great product, pretty unreal pricing.

Video, Games and Multi-media

• Keeps system running smoothly, even after hours of video editing and 3D gaming...

  When it comes to things like video editing and 3d gaming, PerfectDisk keeps my disk running smoothly. Even after hours of intense gaming or editing, I find that my disk is hardly fragmented and that if I want to do a defrag it only takes a couple of minutes, whereas with Diskeeper I found that no matter whether I had just defragmented 5 minutes or an hour ago, the defrag takes very much longer. With Perfect Disk, I KNOW that there won't be much fragmentation even after many hours of use, so I look forward to doing a defrag because it's so quick and efficient.
  
  Also, Diskeeper seems to take ages defragging 4kb index.dat files, which are basically useless and slow down the defragging process to a crawl and is a real turn off. Perfect Disk, on the other hand, gets the job done very efficiently so I can enjoy my time doing other things and not wait for ages for a defrag to complete.

• Defragged multiple partitions when Diskeeper would not...

  Well, I have to say, I’m extremely impressed with PerfectDisk. This is coming from a user of Diskeeper for many, many years. PerfectDisk is not only performing great, it can do things Diskeeper cannot. My main gripe recently with Diskeeper is it’s limitation in Defragging a partition that’s greater then 512GB. I’m a gamer myself, and I have a 300GB drive that contains windows, a 600GB stripe dedicated to my games, and another 250GB external for random things I need to store.
  
  Well, Diskeeper won't defrag that stripe, and it “encourages” me to upgrade to the $250 server version, um….no thanks, I’ll find something else. A side point is Diskeeper never saw that stripe. I normally have that stripe assigned to a folder named GAMES. Diskeeper only saw the C:\ drive at its normal size. I had to go assign it to a letter, then Diskeeper could see it.
  
  What I really like is the way PerfectDisk defragments, and gives me the option to choose a slow but in depth defrag, or fast quick defrag. And smart enough to recognize the games I mostly play, and their speed has definitely increased.
  
  I also work as a Systems Engineer for the Department of Defense and I will be sure to recommend this as a replacement to Diskeeper when licensing renewal comes around.

• Allows my machine to transfer AVI files to DVCAM tapes without any glitches...

  PerfectDisk is the best and most straightforward defragmenter I know about. I do a lot of broadcast-quality video editing, and good defragmentation is CRUCIAL to being able to upload rendered material to digital tape - a process that requires transferring huge amounts of information in real time. Free space consolidation is also important, to prevent the large video files from fragmenting in the first place. Before using PerfectDisk my computer often froze during video uploads - now I can transfer AVI files to DVCAM tapes without any glitches.

• Great product for editing systems...

  Our computer specialist told us about you and advised that we purchase it for defragging our non-linear editing computer. We find it simple to use and we defrag daily due to the large video files we use. Since using your product we have noticed significantly less crashes than before. Very pleased and would definitely recommend you. I'm sure others would find your product beneficial to maintain their editing systems.

• Helps my online gaming run smoother...

  I do a lot of online gaming. This requires intense hard drive access. I have Perfect Disk defrag my hard drive every night to ensure my games run smoother. It's a great program!

  PerfectDisk for Exchange is definitely a must have for any organization running Microsoft Exchange. My company does a full backup for off-site archival purposes at the end of each month.
  
  Prior to finding PerfectDisk, this usually meant that I would plan to spend two hours on the last day of the month manually running Microsoft's ESEUTIL defragmentation/compacting utility. I found that as my Exchange database grew, the time required to run this utility required that I stop services to prevent staff from remotely accessing their email while the utility ran.
  
  After using PerfectDisk for Exchange, I now have the ability to schedule the Exchange Defragmentation 2-3 hours before the monthly backup is scheduled, during off-peak times, which causes little impact on staff. It has also reduced the time that it normally took to manually run the ESEUTIL utility by about 70%.
  
  I strongly recommend that any organization with Microsoft Exchange make this a required utility. This product is very easily installed, extremely simple to use, and fast!

• The defrag freed up over 8GB for us...

  PerfectDisk for Exchange worked great on our Windows Server installation for an offline defragmentation. We had never performed one before and we were at the limit for our database (16GB). The defrag freed up over 8GB for us.
