How do I install PerfectDisk 10 for Windows Home Server on Windows Home Server?

1. On a XP/Vista computer, double click on the PerfectDisk 10 for Windows Home Server installation file - PD10_WHS.exe. This will extract the installation files to C:\Program Files\Raxco\PerfectDisk10Install\PerfectDisk10_Home_Server. Do NOT copy PD10_WHS.exe to your Windows Home Server and run there.

2. On the same XP/Vista computer, right-click the Windows Home Server tray icon, and then click Shared Folders.

3. In Shared Folders, double-click the Software folder.

4. Double-click the Add-Ins folder.

5. Copy the PerfectDisk_x86.msi to the Add-Ins folder.

   • If you are installing from a downloaded package, the PerfectDisk_x86.msi should have been extracted to:
     C:\Program Files\Raxco\PerfectDisk10Install\PerfectDisk10_Home_Server\PerfectDisk_x86.msi
   • If you are installing from a CD, the PerfectDisk_x86.msi is on the CD in the PerfectDisk10_Home_Server folder.

6. Close the Add-Ins folder.

7. Right-click the Windows Home Server tray icon, and then click Windows Home Server Console.

8. Type the Windows Home Server password, and then click Next.

9. Click Settings on the console.

10. On Windows Home Server Settings, click Add-ins.

11. Click the Available tab.

12. Select PerfectDisk 10 for Windows Home Server, and click Install to install the Add-in.

13. Click OK on the Installation succeeded dialog box to restart the console.

14. Reconnect to the console. The PerfectDisk 10 console tab now appears on the console.

Using PerfectDisk 10 on your Windows Home Server

PerfectDisk will insert itself into the Windows Home Server Console:

1. Open the Windows Home Server Console from the tray icon on the client computer

2. When the Windows Home Server Console opens, PerfectDisk 10 will be available on its own tab."
